PUBLIC NOTICE:
Please take notice the Village of Stockbridge, Village Council, on October 2, 2023, approved a text amendment to Chapters 1, Article 1, Section 1-6, Article 18, Chapter II, Section 18-22, and Chapter III, Section 18-51 within the existing Code of Ordinances Village of Stockbridge Michigan pertaining to Noise and Blight. This amendment will take into effect 21 days after publication. Publication placed in the Lansing State Journal, October 8, 2023.
The Village of Stockbridge Department of Public Works will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the Village's water utility service area between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:00 pm from Monday, October 9 through Friday, October 20, 2023, excluding Saturday and Sunday.
The procedure may cause some disturbances and discoloration in the water system following the flushing of the hydrants in your area as well as the day following. Customers may also experience a temporary drop in pressure. Please refrain from washing white or light-colored clothes during the flushing period.
If you experience discoloration and rust particles in your water, please run a cold water faucet only for approximately 10 minutes to clear the discolored water from your system. If the water is still discolored after running the cold water for 10 minutes, please turn off the faucet and repeat the previous step one hour later. If you continue to experience discolored water, please call the Village at 517-920-0738 or email ddillard@vosmi.org. Thank You.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE:
The Village of Stockbridge has filed a lawsuit to quiet title to the Alley at 111 W. Main Street Stockbridge, MI 49285 in the Ingham County Circuit Court Case No. 22-807-CH, before the Hon. Wanda M. Stokes. If anyone disputes the Village’s claim to ownership of the alley they should file pleadings setting forth that contest with the Court within 21 days of the date of this notice or forever waive their claim to ownership to said alley.
